2009 Season Off to Great Start


WVBA Mizuno 18s celebrate 1st Place Finish at Power League #1

SEATTLE, WA--Jan. 16, 2009
3 gold finishes
WVBA Mizuno 18 beat Puget Sound 18 Gold to finish 1st overall in the Puget Sound Power League on Sunday. The Academy 18s revenged an earlier loss to Puget Sound in pool play.

WVBA Mizuno 17 also finished in the Gold division of the U18 Power League by defeating KJ 17 in their final match of the day.

WVBA Mizuno 14 started their season off by playing in a U16 tournament and ended up finishing 5th in Gold with only two losses coming at the hands of Capitol 16s and Olympia 16s.

Power League will continue in February for these three teams while the other four Academy teams will play their opening weekend of Power League over the next two weekends.

6 Teams in Action this Wknd
WVBA Mizuno 16-Gold will be kicking off their 2009 season in the NW Juniors MLK Invitational tournament at Juanita High School on Saturday and Sunday.

WVBA Mizuno 14-Gold will debut in the Puget Sound Power League this weekend with pool play beginning Saturday morning at Washington High School.

WVBA Mizuno 18, Mizuno 17, Mizuno 16, and Mizuno 15 will be playing in the Portland MLK Invitational at the Courts in Beaverton on Saturday and Sunday.
